Attack

In the short story "Bluffing" Written by Gail Helgason, there is a grizzly bear attack. Have you ever heard a story of a couple and you just knew that one or even both are straight faced liars? Well Liam and Gabriella are a couple going for a hike in Jasper BC to have a surprise picnic at the lake; at least it’s a surprise for Gabriella. "At noon... [They] reached the lake [Gabriella found a rock of flat limestone along the shore... Liam dug into his pack and pulled out a small bottle of Remy Martin, French bread, a wedge of Camebert, and chocolate-covered almonds", After Liam reveled what they were celebrating for Gabriella was upset and she rush off with Liam following. As the "sandy shore of the lake ended and Gabriella crashed through a thick stand of dwarf birch and rock willows...the willows gave way to huckleberries", she found herself facing a grizzly. After her attempt to back away slowly failed she went down into a fetal position and told Liam who was closely behind her to slowly walk away, "after one long minute, she [hears] the rustle of footsteps through shrubbery... [Liam] is running away as fast as he could." When Liam awoke at the hospital and finally talked to Gabriella three weeks after the attack Liam tells Gabriella that he meant to run away from the bear so it wouldn’t attack her. When he tells her this he is lying because we all know that in doing this he is a coward, UN manly and has no common sense, the reason being for this is because he ran when his girlfriend clearly told him what to do.

Smoking

Do you ever look at someone whose smoking and wonder how old they are, and how it has affected their lives? Well with some people it doesn't affect them physically therefore they don't think about it as much as others where it does affect them physically. Let’s be honest though we all know that smoking cigarettes is bad for your health and when you smoke it changes the way people look at you. Once in Mr. Van Camp’s blog, a picture of an old women smoking a cigarette, her face was basically skin and bone, it had no definition to it, her cheek bone as well as her jaw bone were very visible to the naked eye. Her skin was old and wrinkly like a witch from a movie you may have seen as a child, her lips were so dry and cracked that if you zoomed in on them you could mistake it for the ground of the Gobi Desert. When you looked at her eyes the one looked has if there was a mist of disappointment that she ever started. I'm not saying that this is how you well look if you were to start smoking but just remember that this is a possibility of how you may look.
